Course
Overview:
Being
a Buyers Agent is an alternative to general real estate
sales. It
looks at working solely for the purchaser and acting on their behalf
throughout the sale process. This
course is for people who wish to gain the qualification to apply for
their Buyers Agent Licence in NSW and students undertake an
in-depth study of the entire buyers agent process.
This is a
practical-based course and provides course participants with
opportunities to acquire and practice new skills in all areas relating
to acting as a buyers agent. Once all modules have been completed,
students
will be able to apply to NSW Fair Trading for their Buyers
Agent licence.
There
are three modules/courses which make up the Buyers Agent Licence
program and cover the competencies required to gain a Buyers Agent
Licence. The successful completion of this training program will mean
that the person gains a Statement of Attainment for the national Units
of Competency required by NSW Fair Trading to make application for a
NSW Buyers Agents Licence.
Buyers
Agent Fast Track Program The
College offers a single module 2 day Buyers Agent Fast Track program
for Mortgage Brokers. If you are an experienced Mortgage Broker and can
provide evidence of your experience, you may be assessed as
only
needing to complete this module in order to satisfy the educational
requirements for the issue of a Buyers Agents Licence under the
provisions of the NSW Property Stock and Business Agents Act (PSBAA).
The courses
listed here are based on the premise
that you have not already completed the introductory Certificate of
Registration course and are not an experienced Mortgage Broker.
Recognition
of Prior Learning (RPL) You
may be assessed for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition
of Current Competence (RCC) for one or more modules. This
means
that you will not need to attend training for that module.
Assessment is undertaken on an individual basis and determination of
RPL or RCC is based on the evidence of your previous experience and
learning.
Entry
Requirements:
There are
no formal entry requirements for the full course.
The
Buyers Agent Fast Track program requires candidates to supply
