Victorian
Estate Agent Courses
Estate Agent
Licence
News
As
published in the
Victoria Government Gazette on the 28th October 2010, the
Australian College of Professionals has been approved to conduct
courses of instruction or examination prescribed for the purposes of
sections 14 and 16 of the Estate Agents Act 1980.
This means
that, in
addition to the NSW programs that the Australian College of
Professionals have been conducting in Victoria, we can now offer:
- the Victorian
Agents Representative course
- the
Victorian Real
Estate licensing course
Process
The
Australian
College of Professionals now offer two mechanisms to obtain a Estate
Agent licence in Victoria.
1. If
you are an experienced agent in Victoria, the Australian College of
Professionals offers a Fast Track
licensing program that includes a face-to-face five day intensive
workshop that bridges the gaps between your experience and the
additional skills and knowledge that are required to hold the necessary
licensing qualifications in Victoria.
This
is done via a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process which
involves the collection of documentary evidence which is assessed by a
qualified Assessor prior to admission to the course. If any
deficiencies in relevant experience or qualifications are identified,
students are offered the opportunity to complete supplementary material
as required prior to the issue of any qualifications.
After
successful
completion of the program, students are issued with an academic
transcript
in order to make an application to the Business Licensing Authority in
Victoria for an Estate Agent licence.
2. If
you require a licence in both Victoria and New South Wales, the
Australian College of Professionals will
continue to offer supplementary training in addition to the Fast Track
program to assist people to complete the necessary educational
requirements to obtain both licences.

Agents
Representative Course
In
order to be employed by a Real Estate Agent, individuals must
successfully
complete the three competencies required to become an Agents
Representative. An Agent’s
Representative is an employee of a Real Estate Agent who may
perform any
of the functions of an Estate Agent under the authority of that Real
Estate
Agent. An Agent’s Representative may be a sales person or a property
manager but cannot operate a real estate business.
Starting
in November 2010, the Australian College of Professionals now conducts
three (3) day training courses for people to complete the Statement of
Attainment required to enable students to be employed as an Agent's
Representative under section 16(1)(b) of the Estate Agents Act 1980.
